OlaRose Ndubuisi Meets Congressman Morelle To Discuss Her Scoliosis Advocacy

On June 10th, 2024, 17-year-old OlaRose Ndubuisi was invited to meet with Congressman Joseph D. Morelle to discuss her scoliosis advocacy and to raise awareness for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis.

At the meeting, OlaRose advocated for June to be proclaimed as Scoliosis Awareness Month in Rochester, New York State, and nationally. She also presented her modifications to the current New York State Scoliosis Screening Guidelines to be more inclusive and effective in detecting scoliosis in both adolescent boys and girls in middle and high school.

OlaRose gave her painting “My Perspective of Scoliosis” to Congressman Morelle as a gift.
