When diagnosed with scoliosis at age 14, OlaRose Ndubuisi used writing, art, and music to positively cope with her pain, turning it into something “beautiful and relatable,” as she says. An important aspect of the Finding Scoliosis Kindly (FiSK) Project is to teach kids with scoliosis how to positively express their pain and emotions through creative outlets, which OlaRose has done by leading FiSK Writing and Art Workshops and founding FiSK Club at her high school.
