In July 2024, OlaRose Ndubuisi traveled to Imo State, Nigeria for Mezu International Foundation’s annual medical mission, which provides free medical care to those in the community. It was a wonderful experience.
For the three days of the medical mission, OlaRose screened 37 kids for scoliosis and conducted IRB-approved research comparing the scoliosis screening results to the kids’ answers to a questionnaire she created. OlaRose enjoyed personally connecting to the kids she screened, and she hopes to bring more scoliosis resources to the medical mission in the future.
